Online Slots VS. Casino Slots

Alrighty then. So which is better? Playing online slots, or playing slots in a casino? Well, that's a more complicated question than it may seem.

First of all, let's think about some inherent differences between the two. To begin with, the most obvious difference is staring you right in the face. Your environment. In land-based casinos, it is part of the casino's game to distract you. Believe me, they certainly try and in an unbelievable number of ways. You could consider it unfortunate that they also succeed in their distractions, but at the same time you would be condemning many of the things that contribute to the honking good time casinos produce: a party atmosphere with games, face-to-face interaction, high stakes, and booze. And if you're a slots fan you know exactly what I mean and that might be the reason you don't give online slots a try. Let's look at what online slots entail and how it differs from the party that we enjoy. First off, you're missing the face-to-face interaction, and the impression of being in a large noisy place full of flashing lights and noises. Losing the face-to-face interaction does indeed suck, but it would probably be a greater loss in games like blackjack or poker. Slot machines have a less competitive nature - you're cheering for yourself. But playing online slots can free you from this genius plot by the casinos to distract you while they take your money. You set your own environment at home, with as much or as little distraction as you like. Online slots games have a little ways to go yet before they can simulate the craziness of a real casino, but we can treat this as a good thing. The bad thing is of course is no cocktail waitresses.

The question that invariably comes up when you compare a non-digital game like casino slots to the digitized versions you find like online roulette, is that over odds. What some people don't realize is that the slots you find in the casinos are actually computers themselves. The same type of software an online slot machine is, is embedded in hardware chips in casino slot machines. So this 'non-digital' game is in fact digital to it's core. Slots looseness is *always* a calculated number, and has been for decades. So if your hesitant about trying out online slots because you think it's a more calculated game, it isn't. This isn't to say that the odds can't be stacked against you, but that is the decision of the online casino, much as it is the decision of the land based casinos. I don't have much to say about where to gamble, but there are lots of sites out there, and some with wizards that calculate the mathematics behind many online slot machines.
